Overview
The Observership Program, led by Dr. RP Singh, is designed to provide comprehensive training for budding eye surgeons, specifically in the field of Phacoemulsification and Medical Retina. The program aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform Phacoemulsification surgeries and manage associated complications confidently.
Program Objectives:
- Phacoemulsification Training: Each mentee will receive personalized mentorship under the guidance of Dr. RP Singh and his team. The training is structured in a stepwise manner, starting with supervised procedures and gradually progressing to independent surgeries. Mentees will also be trained to handle complications that may arise during surgery, ensuring they are well-prepared for real-world scenarios.
- One-on-One Clinical Training: In addition to surgical skills, mentees will be trained one-on-one in outpatient departments (OPD), diagnostics, and operating theater (OT) assistance. This hands-on experience will allow participants to develop a well-rounded understanding of patient management and procedural workflows.
- Medical Retina Training: The program also includes specialized training in Medical Retina, covering diagnosis and laser treatments. Mentees will learn to diagnose retinal conditions and apply laser therapy effectively, enhancing their expertise in this crucial area of ophthalmology.
